The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes (PSD), reported this Wednesday morning (29) that all modes of transport in the city are operating normally, as are other public services.
In a post on social media, Paes stated that the The city continues to operate regularly at this time..”Models operating normally, city flowing normally. We remain alert.”
The announcement comes one day after a mega police operation in the Alemão and Penha complexes which led the municipality to remain in since Tuesday afternoon (28).
In an updated note, Paes confirmed that the city is returning to Stage 1.
According to the City Hall Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), the were fully released at around 2:45 am, when the Grajaú-Jacarepaguá Highway, towards Jacarepaguá, was reopened to traffic.
Transport such as subway, trains, BRT and buses operate normally this morning.

The mega-operation launched this Tuesday (28) in ended with the balance of 64 dead — 60 suspects and 4 police officers — 81 arrested and 93 rifles seized.
