According to Ronaldo Caiado, the Peace Consortium will ensure that “all forces can be used to assist any of the governors at the time of emergency, without it being necessary to ask whether they need help or not, the sending will be immediate”, he said. “If you want peace, prepare for war,” he said.
The governor of Minas Gerias, Romeu Zema, declared his support for Cláudio Castro and congratulated him on the operation. “I’m here today because I believe in the work the governor is doing and organized crime,” he said, adding that “organized crime is an ideology, with music and films”, and that it needs to be fought. “It is necessary to have a more critical view, public security is a State job, we cannot criminalize the work of the security forces as has happened in Brazil”, declared Zema.
