Klagenfurt – A fraud trial surrounding an alleged investment offer with hemp plants starts next Wednesday at the Klagenfurt regional court. In the My First Plant (MFP) case, two people are accused of serious commercial fraud: They are said to have persuaded around 5,600 victims to invest money in legal cannabis cultivation and then profit from the harvest – but the plants often did not even exist. The court announced on Friday that the damage amounts to 11.9 million euros.
