Luís Filipe Menezes revealed that his house was robbed during his inauguration as president of the Chamber of Gaia. The mayor recalls that the house was empty last week, while he was out of the country, but the robbery happened precisely at the time of the ceremony, leading him to suspect that whoever did it “knew about politics”.
Luís Filipe Menezes’ house was “savagely robbed and vandalized”, this Tuesday afternoon, at the time when his inauguration ceremony as president of the Gaia City Council was taking place, as he wrote on social media.
The mayor revealed that “everything that had any value was taken” and believes that “whatWhoever did it knew about ‘politics’, because (…) he preferred the time of [tomada de] possession for this evil invasion.”
In the publication, where you can see some photographs of the damage, he admitted to trusting the authorities, taking the opportunity to emphasize that this is “mYet another reason to greatly reinforce security on Gaia.”
