Oil workers reject Petrobras proposal and announce strike

Category calls for better working conditions, production distribution and other demands; new meeting takes place this Tuesday (11.nov.2025)

A (Single Petroleum Federation) rejected the ACT (Collective Labor Agreement) counter-proposal presented by and its subsidiaries. The state of strike was announced on Monday (10.Nov.2025). The decision was consolidated last Friday (November 7, 2025), after meetings held by the 14 unions that make up the organization, and has already been communicated to the company.

“The result demonstrates widespread dissatisfaction with the company’s stance and reinforces the workers’ willingness not to accept setbacks in the category’s rights and cost reduction promoted by the company to the detriment of oil workersstated in a statement the FUP, which also demanded the immediate resumption of negotiations on the agreement.

A new meeting will take place this Tuesday (November 11, 2025) in which Petrobras management must present responses to some measures criticized by the oil industry. The PDV (Voluntary Dismissal Plan) and the unilateral changes to the working hours of doctors and dentists will be some of the central themes of the meeting.

Among the federation’s main demands is a definitive solution for Petros’ PEDs (Deficit Equating Plans), which, according to the FUP, would be penalizing retirees and pensioners. There are also requests for better working conditions, greater distribution of the wealth produced, in addition to the end of privatizations and new business models for the company.

O Poder360 sought out Petrobras to comment on the decision taken by FUP, but has not yet received a response. The space remains open.
