This is how you will reduce your electricity bills. Just stop adding it to your laundry

Nowadays, there is a washing machine in every home. Unfortunately, recently we have been paying a lot for using it, and yet we have to wash dirty clothes. Want to cut your bills by more than half? Use a few tricks and your wallet will not be so burdened.

If we want to save on laundry, we should first pay attention to the products we use. A higher price does not always mean the best quality – Switching to cheaper detergents can bring many benefits.

Another issue is the dosage of washing powder and fabric softener. We must stick to the amounts on the label of these products. If we add too many of them, we generate higher bills, but not only that… Due to the excess of these agents, the clothes are not washed any better – the washing machine does not rinse out the residues.

We will notice a significant reduction in electricity bills if we stop adding fabric softener to the laundry. Specialists believe that it is simply unnecessary. This product is not rinsed off and then settles on fabrics and in the washing machine, damaging it.

By giving up this detergent, we will not only save money, but also take care of the environment and health. The fabric softener contains many substances that have a negative impact on our body. We are talking about, for example, ethyl alcohol, chlorhexidine or benzalkonium. They cause skin irritation, drying of mucous membranes and even allergies.

It often happens that we set a higher washing temperature to get rid of all germs and impurities. Sometimes, however, it is enough to wash clothes at a lower temperature, e.g. 30 degrees Celsius or even less.

In this way, we will get rid of dirt and microorganisms, preserve the color and shape of fabrics for longer, and also reduce laundry bills. This is because a washing machine consumes twice less energy at 30 degrees Celsius than at .

Of course we cannot always give up washing at 60 degrees Celsius. This applies to situations when we wash very dirty clothes or those that we want to disinfect. High temperature is also necessary for people with reduced immunity or infectious diseases.

When putting clothes into the washing machine, pay attention to their quantity. Let’s not turn on either an almost empty washing machine or an overloaded one. In this case, it is worth using the hand trick. If we put our hand into the drum and spread our fingers freely, the device is optimally loaded.
