London – Several members of the British army’s special forces tried to cover up possible war crimes against civilians during their deployment in Afghanistan, according to a witness statement. A former senior Special Air Service (SAS) officer accused two former leaders and other members of the unit, according to his statement to a judicial commission of inquiry published on Monday.
