Was Jorge Pinto an active member of the PS when José Sócrates was Minister of the Environment, as André Ventura says?

In this Thursday’s debate, against Jorge Pinto, André Ventura stated that the candidate was an active member of the Socialist Party when José Sócrates was Minister of the Environment. The SIC Polygraph went to check.

José Sócrates was Minister of the Environment from 1999 to 2002 in the government of António Guterres.

Jorge Pinto was just 11 years old when the socialist took office and 14 when he left it.

The SIC Polygraph therefore considers the statement to be false.

The candidate supported by Livre was not a PS member at the time, he only joined the party at the age of 18.
