The countryman Gustavo Mioto28 years old, is about to debut as an actor in the vertical soap opera “Cinderella and the Poor Millionaire’s Secret“, new production of Globoplay. With his work, he ventures into a new universe, beyond music.
At a press conference, with the presence of CNN Brazilthe singer spoke about the possible criticism he could receive, especially as it is his first time acting. “Watching the episodes, I felt like I was going back to my first CD, in 2012, and that is very bad. In the beginning, It’s all embryonicI didn’t know how to record, sing, write like I do today. Looking at the soap opera, I see that boy starting again.”
He added: “I’m not worried about what they’re going to say, because they’ve been talking about me since 2012. And how much has happened, look where I am today. This has given me the peace of mind that now, at least, I can enjoy the process and improve something that I’m starting from scratch, with more patience.”
And then he continued: “So, I think being able to take advantage of this process of improving in something, for me it’s going to be a lot of fun and studying about it.”
Gustavo revealed that, although he had already dreamed of working in films and other productions. “It was a surprise, I never imagined playing a protagonist. I thought I would start with a smaller role”, he explained. Despite being the main character of the plot, Mioto denies seeing himself as a heartthrob. “I’ve never felt like a heartthrob, let alone a global heartthrob. I don’t consider myself in that place.”
Regarding his character, Diego, the singer commented: “Diego is not very distant from me. So, There weren’t many days of preparationbecause he is also a little shy, withdrawn, more closed off. A lot of his stuff already exists in Gustavo, so it was easier to outline”, he said in an interview with CNN Brasil.
Mioto also spoke about the soap opera soundtrackwhich is permeated by country music. “It has original compositions and some re-recordings. It has country artists, like Lauana Prado, Marília Mendonça… We have a little bit of everything, from a group of people who produced for the soap opera and”
