Electrical discharge causes death of cattle in rural area in the interior of Acre

The presence of a loose power line in a pasture area resulted in the death of five cattle on a rural property located on Ramal Santa Luzia, on the banks of BR-317, at km 84, in Brasiléia. The episode took place this Friday, the 19th, and caused damage to the rural producer responsible for the site.

The animals — four heifers and a bull — were hit by electrical discharge while they were in the pasture. The power grid had fallen in the area, creating a dangerous situation that ended up being fatal for the herd. The information is from Alto Acre.

After the incident, videos and images began to circulate on messaging applications, where the owner reports that the power supply would have been restored without correcting the problem involving the exposed wire. According to him, the failure would have directly contributed to the death of the animals.

The case rekindles the warning about the dangers of the electricity grid in rural areas, especially on properties with animal husbandry. Maintenance failures can cause economic losses and pose a threat to the safety of those traveling in these areas.

To date, there is no confirmation that the energy concessionaire or other responsible bodies have been contacted to investigate what happened.
