Deputy Bernardo Blanco will lead the ticket to the National Council of IL

The deputy of Liberal Initiative Bernardo Blanco “will move forward with a list specific to the National Council“, which will be identified as list ‘F’, and has as its motto “together we make the future”.

The vice-president and deputy of Bernardo Blanco will head a ticket for the IL National Council at the party convention scheduled for February 1st and 2nd.

The parliamentarian “will move forward with a list specific to the National Council“, which will be identified as list ‘F’, and has as its motto “together we make the future”.

According to a statement released this Thursday, “it is a list that has people who have been on different listswith the positive objective of moving beyond the past towards the future”.

“The deputy has at his side members of the party who are running for the National Council for the first time and candidates who in the past were on other tickets”, says the note, which, however, does not specify further names.

The IL deputy argues that the National Council should “debate more politics and less internal bureaucracy” and that the party must “be present on issues such as security, justice and immigration” and, in this way, contribute to preventing these issues from being “left to extremes”.

The party’s vice-president wants to “diminish the State and combat the political occupation of the State apparatus, ensuring that the cultural wave that is growing around the world is harnessed by the party nationally” and “put social mobility and economic growth based on debureaucratization and innovation at the center of the agenda, in Portugal and in Europe”.

The next Liberal Initiative National Convention will take place at February 1st and 2nd in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

At the beginning of the month, Bernardo Blanco said on Rádio Observador that he will not be part of the next IL Executive Committee, which will leave the February convention, justifying it with personal and professional reasons.
