Registration for the Unified Selection System (Sisu) 2026 begins on January 19th and continues until January 23rd, exclusively online. The edition will be the largest ever in terms of number of participating institutions, with 136 universities, federal institutes and federal technological education centers.

In total, 274,800 places will be offered in 7,388 undergraduate courses across the country. Registration is free and must be done through the Single Access Portal to Higher Education. Each candidate can choose up to two course options.
According to the notice from the Ministry of Education (MEC), the selection process will only have one registration stage. The results of the regular call will be announced on January 29, 2026, and enrollment in selected institutions will begin on February 2.
Who can participate
Candidates who have participated in one or more editions of Enem may register, as long as they have obtained a grade higher than zero in the essay and have not participated as trainers. It will also be possible to compete both in broad competition and in the vacancy reservation modalities provided for in the Quota Law and in affirmative actions specific to the institutions.
To do this, the candidate must complete the socioeconomic registration and correctly indicate the desired competition modalities.
New from 2026
The main change to Sisu is that, from 2026, the system will start to consider the results of the last three editions of Enem: 2023, 2024 and 2025. The grade that results in the best weighted average will be used, depending on the course chosen.
In case of a tie, the tiebreaker criterion will be the highest grade obtained in one of the subjects, following the order of priority defined in the notice.
Waiting list
Candidates who are not selected in the regular call may express interest in participating in the waiting list between January 29th and February 2nd, 2026. The remaining vacancies will be filled by institutions according to the order of classification.
