Vienna – The Dane Johannes Hoff Thorup is the new Rapid trainer. The 36-year-old signed a contract that initially runs through the 2026/27 season with an option for a further season. If you exclude three interim coaches, Hoff Thorup is the 16th Rapid head coach since 2000. After the separation from Peter Stöger at the end of November, Stefan Kulovits was appointed as interim coach with little success. Rapid only wintered in seventh place in the Bundesliga.
