According to Craig, he wouldn’t have made the film at the same time because it would have seemed like would be trying to prove a point. “And I’m not interested in that,” he added.

Based on the novel of the same name by William S. Burroughsone of the main authors of the beat literary movement, published in 1985, the film takes place in Mexico City during the 1950s and tells the story of William Lee, the writer’s alter ego. Daniel Craig will bring the protagonist to life.
