One of the several open questions about this year’s election is whether Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) . Another concerns the degree of influence of the former president’s surname in disputes across the country and a third has to do with the volume of losses that affect the family and company.
The father, arrested and named in research as; the firstborn, the target of enormous rejection, risks losing the almost certain renewal of his mandate as senator for Rio de Janeiro.
The middle son (Carlos), bombarded by his peers on the right, dissatisfied with his candidacy for the Senate for Santa Catarina; the stepmother; the youngest of the men (Jair Renan) means nothing to the clan as a councilor in Balneário Camboriú.
And Eduardo? Well, this is a special case in terms of misfortunes caused by one’s own hands through repeated shots to the feet.
He lost his mandate as deputy, he lost the chance to be elected senator for São Paulo, he lost his status (false, we saw later) as an interlocutor for the Donald Trump government, which gave him stability as a clerk for the Federal Police, which determined his immediate return to the post.
The former deputy claims he has no intention of returning from the United States where, before being considered by his father, the president, to head the Brazilian embassy, he fried hamburgers. Maybe you’ll find a job there if you manage to legalize yourself as an immigrant. Here, what awaits him is a lawsuit in the Federal Supreme Court for obstruction of justice.
Looking at the situation from the perspective of the adversity that plagues Jair Bolsonaro and his heirs, the presence of a family member in the race for the Presidency actually makes sense. A big shot at keeping the tribe’s name in vogue throughout the campaign is the refuge that remains for national champions from self-inflicted harm.
