According to the PH Cruzeirense profile, which has been closely following the negotiations and provided information about Raposa, the Russian club presented a counter-proposal to the initial terms sent by the Celeste board, which was accepted, sealing the agreement between the parties. Cruzeiro’s latest proposal for Gerson
Cruzeiro’s last proposal was a fixed 12 million euros (R$77 million) and the transfer of young defender Jonathan Jesus, 21 years old, who is valued between 12 and 15 million euros (R$77 and 96.5 million).
Thus, the total value of the negotiation is around 25 million euros (R$ 160 million), the amount that the Russians paid to Flamengo less than six months ago.
Cruzeiro is betting on Gerson’s desire to return to the Brazilian team’s radar, especially with the World Cup approaching.
What are the next steps?
At the moment, conversations are progressing towards the final details, especially with regard to the method of payment and the exchange of documents. The expectation is that, having overcome the bureaucratic steps, Gerson will travel this week to Belo Horizonte, where he will continue with the final procedures to become a Cruzeiro player.

Gerson’s situation at Zenit
On vacation in Brazil, Gerson is scheduled to perform again at Zenit on January 12th, in Saint Petersburg. A few days later, the Russian squad travels to Qatar for the first stage of pre-season, before heading to the United Arab Emirates, where they will stay until the end of February.
