Minister Dias Toffoli, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), determined this Wednesday (14) that all goods and materials seized in the new phase of the operation investigating Banco Master be sealed and stored at the headquarters of the Supreme Court.
“I determine that all goods and materials seized as a result of compliance with the decision previously issued by me and those resulting from compliance with this, must be sealed and stored directly at the headquarters of the Federal Supreme Court until further determination”, stated the minister in the decision.
The most common thing is for the assets to be in the possession of the Federal Police, which conducts the investigations.
Wanted by CNNthe minister’s office said in a statement that the measure seeks to preserve the evidence collected, which will be “duly examined by the competent authorities”.
This Wednesday, the PF launched the second phase of Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates alleged financial fraud at Banco Master. Goods and values worth more than R$5.7 billion were kidnapped.
Among the targets of the searches were owner of the bank, and relatives. The banker was arrested during the first phase of the operation, in November last year
