Senegal, who were champions in 2022, beat Egypt 1-0 in the first semi-final in Tangier on Wednesday and thus eliminated the record winner of the continental tournament around Mohamed Salah. Former Salzburg player Sadio Mané became the match winner with a well-placed low shot (78′).
