Since the invasion began in February 2022, around 15,000 Ukrainian civilians have died, with 2025 being the deadliest year.
Russian attacks killed three people in the Zaporijia region, in central-eastern Ukraine, the local governor announced today.
“The Russians carried out drone attacks on residential neighborhoods in Vilniansk (…). Two women and a man were killed, and another man was injured,” wrote Ivan Fedorov on the messaging platform Telegram.
“Houses were destroyed and fires broke out,” he added.

O 2025 was the deadliest year since 2022with more than 2,500 civilians killed, according to the document.
