Portuguese filmmaker João Canijo died this Thursday, according to CNN and SIC confirmed with Midas Filmes. He was 68 years old.

According to CNN, João Canijo had a “massive heart attack” during the night. The body was found by his maid after lunch, says the newspaper Público, which quotes producer Pedro Borges.
