Vienna – The federal government has launched a special investigation into fuel prices. By the end of the first quarter of 2026, this should focus on checking the timely transmission of price reductions on the global market. “The aim is to provide a clear, fact-based basis for further steps if they are necessary,” said Economics Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (ÖVP).
