A artificial intelligence is increasingly present in the daily lives of companies and making life easier for employees who can automate tasks and optimize working time. Despite seeming like an easy alternative to the functions, the Intensive use of this type of technology can give the feeling that human thinking can be replaced.
HAS CNN BrazilBorja Castelar, former director of LinkedIn for Latin America and author of the book “Human Skills”, spoke about the need for sensitive and logical thinking to ensure excellence in employees.
“We live in an excess of information and a shortage of connection. AI informs, but does not create a bond. It responds, but does not convince. Communication and empathy are what transform knowledge into influence, data into decisions and strategy into action. In an automated world, the human becomes the true competitive differentiator”, he said.
According to him, one of the main risks of using artificial intelligence at work is related to the feeling that thinking can be replaced by technology. It should be used as an aid, but decisions need to be made by humans.
When reflecting on the influence of these tools on the careers of young people who are now entering the job market, Castelar commented that: “They enter a market where technical knowledge ages quickly. What sustains a career today is not a profession, but the ability to continually learn, adapt and develop human skills. A career is no longer a fixed path and has become a constant process of reinvention.”
Despite bringing risks to developing excellent work, the former director of Linkedin highlighted that AI can be used to advance careers if it is well managed.
To build a profile on social media, for example, he says that “AI can help you better structure the message, identify keywords and clarify positioning. But it should be a support tool, not a shortcut to look like someone you’re not. Authenticity remains impossible to automate. AI organizes, but the vision, the story and the decisions remain human.”
