Shocking news from Zemplín: Controversial businessman Mikuláš Vareha died suddenly!

According to information from the portal, rescuers intervened on Sunday in the village of Malý Kamenec, where they were fighting for the life of the controversial businessman Mikuláš Vareha. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts and long minutes of resuscitation, he could not be revived.

The death of the man who was referred to as the “King of Zemplín” was also confirmed by the deputy spokesperson of the operations center of the rescuers, Martina Fröhlich Činovská, saying that the death occurred during transport to the hospital in Kráľovský Chlmec.

Mikuláš Vareha became widely known as an influential businessman from Zemplín who provided work for hundreds of local residents in his region. However, his career took a sharp turn in 2013, when the panel of the Specialized Criminal Court sent him to prison for 11 years. According to the judgment, the state was supposed to embezzle tens of millions of euros through fictitious transactions.

Among the most curious moments of his cases was a fictitious trade with lycovores, which, according to his claims, were to serve as fodder for pheasants. Due to his ongoing health problems, the court hearings at the end of the trial had to be moved directly to the prison.
