Suspect of killing his ex-wife in a parking lot in Lisbon was arrested this Monday by the Judiciary Police.
The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested this Monday the man suspected of this morning in a car park next to Avenida de Ceuta, in Lisbon.
In a statement sent to newsrooms this Tuesday, the PJ reports on the detection of one 36-year-old man “for strong evidence of the commission of a crime of qualified homicidein full form, occurred in the early hours of February 2nd”, which killed one 30 year old woman.
“The suspect and the victim maintained a romantic relationship that ended a few days ago”, says the PJ. “Unsatisfied with the situation, the suspect surprised the victim when she was preparing to go to her place of work.”
Since he knew the woman’s routines, the man waited for her to arrive at the parking lot and hit her in the head with shots of a revolver.
The victim died immediately and the killer fledone in the south of the countryending up being arrested on the same day, initially by the PSP.
The suspect will be present this Tuesday for the first interrogation of a defendant detained at DIAP in Lisbon.
The woman, in her 30s, was shot four times. The alert was given around 5:00 am by residents, who called 112 when heard the shots and saw the victim lying on the ground.
