Man runs through plane fuselage in Valencia and causes two-hour delay

At Manises airport, in Valencia, an unusual and alarming incident marked the operation of a Vueling flight. A man managed to access the restricted area and climbed to the top of a plane parked on the runway, about to depart for Amsterdam. For around ten minutes, he remained in the fuselage, running, gesturing and assuming provocative postures, generating astonishment among passengers and airport employees.

The Civil Guard intervened quickly and managed to persuade him to come down without the need for force. Despite the scare, there were no injuries, but the flight was delayed for more than two hours, affecting passengers’ plans.

Following the incident, the man was taken to a local hospital for assessment due to an altered psychological state, and was subsequently cited for violating Spanish aviation safety legislation.

Authorities assured that there was no direct risk to crew or passengers and that the rest of the airport’s operations continued normally.
