A large theft was recorded in the early hours of Wednesday (4) at a gas station located on Avenida 25 de Agosto, in Cruzeiro do Sul. From there, criminals took dozens of gas cylinders that were being transported in a parked trailer.

According to the report made by the company owner to the Civil Police, the vehicle’s lock was broken during the action. After opening the truck, the suspects removed the cylinders and used a vacant lot next to the gas station to facilitate their escape with the material.
In total, 59 cylinders were taken. So far, there is no information on how many people participated in the crime or whether the containers were full or empty at the time of the theft.
The case was registered at the police station and is under investigation by the Civil Police, which seeks to identify those responsible and clarify how the action was carried out.
