The Sado River again overflowed its banks and flooded Av. dos Aviadores, due to the passage of the Leonardo depression, in Alcácer do Sal
The situation becomes more complicated in the district of Setúbal. Almost 100 people were rescued from the floods in Alcácer do Sal and 35 were taken from their homes in Almada.
A total of 89 people were rescued in Alcácer do Saldistrict of Setúbal, due to the flood of the Sado river, between Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday.

Mainland Portugal is now being affected by the Leonardo depression, with persistent and sometimes heavy rain, snowfall, wind and strong sea agitation expected until Saturday, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere.
