The commercial dollar shows a slight increase this Thursday (5.Feb.2026) after closing stable in the previous session. The advance followed the DXY – an index that serves to compare the value of the dollar in relation to the main currencies – which registered an increase of 0.22% at 5:12 pm.
The Ibovespa rises after falling more than 2% the day before. At 5:14 pm, the main Brazilian stock market index advanced 0.69%, to 182,959.25 points.
The index is supported by Itaú shares, which rose 2.44% at 5:21 pm, after the release of the balance sheet. The bank reported a profit of R$46.8 billion — the highest result in the history of a Brazilian bank.
AMERICAN MARKET
Stock markets decline in the United States with pressure from shares linked to artificial intelligence amid fears of a bubble in the sector, disclosure of balance sheets and greater competition. Investors are also reflecting on the Jolts employment report, which had the lowest result since September 2020. The number of open jobs was 6.5 million in December.
