One of the most traditional in Acre, held this Thursday (5) the first official rehearsal of the 2026 season. Seven-time state champion, three-time champion of the Circuito Junino and three-time champion of the Sesc Festival, Pega-Pega began another year of activities bringing together players and the community at Espaço Junino Helen Sandra, located at Rua Eufrates, nº 105, in Residencial Iolanda.

The rehearsal was marked by symbolic and strong emotional moments. On that occasion, the new Caipira Queen of Junina Pega-Pega was officially announced. A highlight of the gang in the last two years, Bruna now assumes one of the most important positions in the group, carrying the responsibility of representing the tradition and identity of the group.

The new queen succeeds Helen Sandrawho reigned for 28 years and passed away in September 2023. Considered eternal by the June community, Helen Sandra is remembered as one of the greatest symbols in the history of Pega-Pega, with her legacy being constantly revered in rehearsals and presentations.

In the text released to announce the coronation, the gang highlighted that the crown represents more than a title, symbolizing history, dedication and love for the June movement. The message highlighted the trust placed in Bruna Kessila, recognizing her determination, technique and commitment throughout her career as a standout.

“Bruna, you don’t just receive a track, but the trust of a family. In the last two years as a standout, you showed us determination, mastery and, above all, a heart that beats to the rhythm of Junina Pega-Pega. We know that you will carry this legacy with the responsibility, love and dedication that our history deserves”, says the publication.

For Bruna, taking on this new and great responsibility is, above all, an honor. “Being able to represent the oldest gang in São João Acre and also our eternal queen, who will forever be in my heart and guiding my steps in this incredible Junina Pega-Pega project. I am very grateful for the opportunity and everyone’s affection”, she stated.

The first rehearsal also featured a performance by Queen G, Isabella Santos, and the Junina Pega-Pega ballet, the group responsible for rehearsing the choreographies and passing on the movements to the other participants, playing a fundamental role in the artistic organization of the show. The meeting brought together dozens of people, including participants and community residents, officially marking the beginning of the 2026 season with tradition, excitement and renewal.
