A businessman, owner of a water sports center in southern Spain, faced a moment of great risk when he decided to face the force of the waters in order to run his own business.
Faced with the sudden floods of the Guadalete River, in the Cádiz area, man found himself unable to access the space via normal routes. Still, he opted for an extreme decision: swimming against the strong current to cross the river and reach his center’s facilities.
The authorities tried to stop the action. The police warned the businessman of the danger and asked him to retreat, due to the violence of the water and the real risk of being swept away by the current. However, the man refused to back down and went ahead with the plan.
To increase safety, he ended up wearing a protective vest and set out to cross, facing the force of the river in a scenario considered highly dangerous.
