A 32 year old man died after a traffic accident in the early hours of this Wednesday (11), on Avenida Cidade Jardim, at the entrance to the Max Feffer Tunnel, in the south of São Paulo. According to the 36-year-old driver of the car, he was traveling with a green light when the motorcyclist entered the wrong lane, causing the crash. The Traffic Engineering Company (CET) reported that the collision happened at 1:13 am and led to the total closure of the lane towards the neighborhood. The road was reopened at 6:05 am.

According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), military police were called and, upon arriving at the scene, they found the motorcyclist being attended to by teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU). He was taken to Hospital das Clínicas, but he did not survive his injuries.
The driver remained at the scene, provided assistance and presented images recorded by the camera installed in the vehicle. According to the police, he showed no signs of intoxication.
Forensics and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) were called and the case was registered as a suspicious death in the 14th DP, in Pinheiros.
