In the west of Slovakia, a bus flew off the road on R1: They are reporting injured!

On the R1 expressway behind Šintava in the Galanta district towards Nitra, the bus went off the road. He ended up in an adjacent field. As confirmed by TASR, the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Trnava, Lena Košťálová, three minor injuries have been reported.

“The bus driver was supposed to drive the bus off the road for reasons that have not yet been determined. Upon arrival, the police subjected the driver to a breathalyzer test, with a negative result. There were 13 passengers on the bus at the time of the incident,” Zlatica Antalová, spokeswoman for the Regional Directorate of the Police Force, explained for TASR.

The driver and two other passengers were injured in the accident. “All were taken to a gallant hospital for treatment. Traffic on the R1 highway was partially restricted. The exact causes and circumstances of the traffic accident are the subject of further police investigation.” added.

The traffic accident happened on the 22nd kilometer of the expressway. The STVR green wave reported about a 15-minute delay. The right lane was blocked. Emergency services were on the scene. There is currently no delay in the section.
