Toronto – Twelve-time All-Star Chris Paul has announced his retirement after 21 seasons in the National Basketball Association. “Even though this chapter as an ‘NBA player’ is now closed, basketball will forever remain part of my DNA,” the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram on Friday. Paul’s plan was actually to leave at the end of the season. Most recently, he was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Toronto Raptors for salary-tactical reasons.
