António José Seguro was the winner in all municipalities where the second round of the presidential elections was postponed due to bad weather.

Antonio José Insurance won this Sunday the second round of the presidential elections in Alcácer do Sal, Arruda dos Vinhos and Golegã.

These were the three councils that postponed elections by a week due to bad weather. THE abstention he was alta in all municipalities.

In Alcácer do Sal, district of Setúbal, Seguro collected 79,15%, Ventura 20.85% and abstention of 71.23% was higher than the national average (50%), according to the provisional results released by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration — Electoral Administration.

In Arruda dos Vinhos, district of Lisbon, the future president won with 72,6% of the votes, against 27.3% for Ventura, registering an abstention of 59.8%, also above average.

In Golegã, in the district of Santarém, António José Seguro won with 69,07% and André Ventura had 30.93%. Abstention was 66.78%.

Indeed, Seguro won in all 20 parishes and polling stations this Sunday.

In total, the future president of the Republic was left with one record of 3,505,846 votes, which now corresponds to 66,83%, slightly above the 66.73% it had on the 8th; Andre Ventura obtained 1,739,745 votes (33,17%, when it was 33.27%).

Seguro was the winning candidate in 306 of the 308 municipalities, in the second round of the presidential elections.

“I greet all the voters who went to vote today and who were unable to do so last Sunday. Democracy lives on the participation of all of us. Each vote is an affirmation of freedom, responsibility and hope for the future”, wrote the president-elect on his social networks last night.

Voting was suspended

Around 36 thousand voters were called to vote this Sunday.

In a place with around 2 thousand, in Bidoeira de Cima (Leiria), the only incident related to voting was recorded.

The electoral act was suspended because of an electricity failure. THE light failed about an hour after the polls opened.

At lunchtime the polls reopened. But in total for the day, only 526 voters votedin a parish that had 2,132 subscribers.

In the village of Guizo, Alcácer do Sal, voters went by boat to the voting table.
