Washington (AP) — A U.S. district judge has overturned a decision that upheld the Trump administration’s policy of mass detention of migrants. The judge in the US state of California declared the decision of the Board of Immigration Appeals to be null and void on Wednesday (local time). This had approved the practice of detaining thousands of people arrested in raids without the possibility of being released on bail.
