The Federal Revenue Service dismissed tax auditor Ricardo Mansano from a leadership position after he became the target of an investigation on suspicion of having improperly accessed the tax data of a former stepdaughter of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Gilmar Mendes.
The dismissal was published in the Official Gazette this Thursday, 19th. He served as occasional substitute for the head of the tax credit and credit rights management team at the Revenue Department in Presidente Prudente (SP).
Mansano was one of the four targets of an operation ordered by STF minister Alexandre de Moraes, to investigate alleged improper access to tax data by Court ministers and their families.

As shown by the Estadãohe even admitted to investigators that he accessed the data by “accident” when he believed it was someone else. He was the target of a search and seizure ordered by Moraes and subjected to the use of an electronic ankle bracelet, in addition to being removed from his public duties.
In a statement released this Thursday, Mansano’s defense denied his involvement in irregularities. “The defense reaffirms the suitability of the server, a professional with an unblemished reputation, who over the years of work with the Federal Revenue of Brazil, has never responded to any functional misconduct”, stated lawyers Marianna Chiabrando and Camilla Chiabrando.
In the demonstration, they also stated that they did not have access to the investigation and therefore could not comment on the details of the case.
