American refueling planes and F-22 fighters are massing in Israel. The support for the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier came at a time of rising tensions with Iran.
At least nine military refueling planes landed at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on Friday night, bringing the total number to at least fourteen. The news portal The Times of Israel (TOI) reported about it on Friday, writes TASR.
This week, the media has already captured several American refueling and cargo planes at this airport. At least another eleven F-22 fighters with stealth technology or support aircraft were spotted at the Ovda Air Base in the Negev Desert in southern Israel.
According to the TOI portal, the refueling planes are intended to support the fighter jets of the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, which is sailing to the coast of northern Israel. This is happening at a time of growing tension in the Middle East region and a possible American attack on Iran.
