Caixa Econômica Federal made the so-called Saque Calamidade available to workers in Juiz de Fora, Matias Barbosa and Ubá affected by the tragedy caused by the rains.

The Calamity Withdrawal allows workers to withdraw up to R$6,220.00 from each account they have in the FGTS due to personal, urgent and serious needs resulting from a natural disaster that has hit their residence, after an official declaration by the Civil Defense of their municipality.
To withdraw the benefit, you must have a balance in your FGTS account and not have made a withdrawal for the same reason in less than 12 months.
How to request FGTS withdrawal
- Download the FGTS app and enter your registration information;
- Access the option “Request your 100% digital withdrawal” or, in the bottom menu, go to “Withdrawals” and select “Request withdrawal”;
- Click on “Public calamity”, enter the name of the municipality and select it from the list;
- Choose the type of proof of address, enter the zip code and residence number.
It is also necessary to submit the following documents:
- Proof of residence in the worker’s name (electricity, water, telephone, gas bill, bank statements, payment slips, among others), issued in the last 120 days prior to the declaration of the emergency or calamity resulting from a natural disaster;
- In the absence of proof of residence, the FGTS account holder may present a declaration issued by the municipal or Federal District government, certifying that the worker is a resident of the affected area. The declaration must be signed on headed paper and the issuing authority must put a date and signature on it. The declaration must also include: full name, date of birth, home address and CPF number of the worker;
- If you do not have proof of address, the worker may submit a declaration containing their full name, CPF, date of birth, full residential address, including ZIP code. Caixa will validate the information provided in official Federal Government records;
- Marriage Certificate or Public Deed of Stable Union, if proof of residence is in the name of spouse or partner;
- Identification document of the non-employed worker or director;
- CPF;
- Physical or digital employment card or any other document that proves the employment relationship (only in case of in-person service at the Caixa Branch).
