Corinthians loses to Novorizontino and falls into the semi-finals of Paulistão

O Corinthians will not be able to repeat the Campeonato Paulista title from last year. This Saturday (28), the team lost to Novorizontinoby 1 to 0, in the semi-final of Paulistão 2026 and said goodbye to the state competition. The winning goal for the Novo Horizonte team was scored by Mayk, in the 29th minute of the second half.

Founded in 2010, Novorizontino now reaches the first Paulistão final in its history. The team showed again why it was the best in the first phase with an imposing defeat over the Parque São Jorge team.

In the unprecedented decision, o Novorizontino awaits the result of the classic between Palmeiras and São Paulowho face each other on Sunday (1st), in Barueri.

Already the Corinthiansafter almost amending the end of last season with the Copa do Brasil title in the current one, there will be a few days without games ahead. A Dorival Júnior’s team returns to action only on March 11against Coritiba, for the Brasileirão.
