Portuguese star author António Lobo Antunes dies at the age of 83

Lisbon – António Lobo Antunes, one of the most important contemporary Portuguese authors, has died at the age of 83. The Leya publishing group confirmed this upon request. Leya owns the Dom Quixote publishing house, which published many of his works. Lobo Antunes is an “author of novels that will forever remain in the memories of his readers and fans,” Leya wrote in a statement.
