Russia and Ukraine will exchange 500 prisoners of war in the coming days, says Moscow

MOSCOW, March 5 (Reuters) – Russia and Ukraine exchanged 200 prisoners of war from each side on Thursday and will exchange another 300 each on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The two sides have periodically exchanged prisoners of war and returned the bodies of fallen soldiers — most recently last week — despite a lack of progress toward a peace agreement to end the four-year-old war.
