The recorded drop in the share of the streaming market in Brazil. According to a Snaq report based on information from , the share of the Globo platform reduced from 12% in the 4th quarter of 2024 to 8% in the 4th quarter of 2025. The drop of 4 percentage points is equivalent to a 33% decrease in share.
Currently, Globoplay occupies the 6th position among the most sought after streaming platforms in the country. Prime Video leads the market with a 21% share. Netflix appears in 2nd place with 19%. Disney+ records 18% share. HBO Max has 11% and Apple TV+ has 9%.
Between the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2025, the Globo service also lost audience, with a drop of 1 percentage point.
The survey shows that international platforms have been expanding their presence in the country. This movement occurs simultaneously with the loss of space for the national service in the competition for audiences.
The report is based on the activity of more than 5 million monthly users in Brazil. The analysis covers engagement across more than 50 subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services. The cut-off considers activities registered between January 1st and December 31st, 2025.
The methodology considers user behavior on the website and in applications on the JustWatch platform, available on TV sets, cell phones and other devices. Every interaction with a streaming service is counted.
The actions considered in the survey include adding films and series to the watchlistclick on streaming platforms and mark productions as “assisted”. Interactions are summed and compared across SVOD services. The data reflects the proportion of total engagement that each platform concentrated in the period.
