A leading personality of the Slovak music scene After 40 years since the release of the first album Bioelektrovízia, Richard Müller revived the group Banket and in September 2025 released the new album Slovenská strela. It was a big hit with fans, as evidenced by the fact that its sales earned it a double platinum record. Müller took over the record on March 4, together with the authors of the music, Remigius Klačanský and Dominik Kopcsay. He also participated in this event with the musician Teri Čikoš.
The singer revealed that he has set aside a new wall at home for this album and feels that there is still room for such tributes. How is the return to the Banquet after years? “I am terribly sorry and saddened by the fact that we will not be able to realize it in concert, because my lovely colleagues from the production have convinced me that it is not the current time. So, it will probably only be with this album Slovenská strela.” he said bluntly.
Various young artists worked on it, e.g. Remo Klačanský, what is it like working with this younger generation? “I can’t praise it enough, it was really amazing, the way they approached it, and I feel the same way about the result, you can tell. And the cooperation was fantastic, so I have nothing against it. They provided absolutely everything, including other musicians, many of whom I did not know, which I do not think should be my ignorancebut rather than the very fact that they invited their peers to work,” praises Müller, who sees a fundamental difference between gigging and working in the studio.
“I really like to give concerts. It depends on what audience. The result always depends on it, it is adequate to this. In the studio this time it was also very pleasant and very spontaneous, but I think so I have the feeling that the concert performance has more merit,” he declared.
His duet with his daughter Emma is also on the album – Between heaven and woman. What was it like working with her? “I can’t comment on that because she didn’t want me to be the director. So I’ve been waiting in the break room and she’s been singing it beautifully so far.” the well-known musician added proudly.
