Trump says Iran “surrendered” to neighbors and promises new attacks on the country

US President Donald Trump said this Saturday (7) that Iran had apologized to neighboring countries in the Middle East and committed to stopping attacks in the region following military offensives led by the United States and Israel.

In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump declared that Tehran stopped being the “bully” and became the “loser of the Middle East”.

According to him, the change in stance occurred after what he called a “relentless attack” by Washington and Tel Aviv.

Trump also stated that Iran will be hit hard today, and areas and groups that were previously not considered targets could be assessed for “complete destruction and certain death”, in response to what he called “bad behavior” by the Iranian government.

The American leader’s statements come just hours after statements by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who denied any possibility of surrender.

In a statement broadcast on state television, Pezeshkian said that the country . “They will take their dreams of our unconditional surrender to the grave,” he said.

The Iranian president also said that they were hit by recent attacks and stated that Iran intends to stop military actions against neighboring countries.

According to him, the armed forces were instructed not to launch new attacks against these nations, unless offensives against Iranian territory come from these locations.

“We have no intention of attacking neighboring countries. They are our brothers,” he declared.

What is happening in the Middle East?

The United States and Israel began a wave of attacks against Iran on Saturday (28), amid tensions over Iran’s nuclear program.

The ayatollah regime began retaliation against countries in the Middle East that host North American military bases, including: the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq.

On Sunday, Iranian state media announced that its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was one of the victims of US and Israeli attacks.

Following the announcement of Khamenei’s death, Iran threatened to launch the “heaviest offensive” in history. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the Persian country considers taking revenge for attacks by Israel and the United States as a “legitimate right and duty.”

In response, Trump threatened Iran against retaliatory strikes, saying “they better not do this, because if they do, we will hit them with force never seen before.” The attacks between the parties continue this Sunday.

The day before, Trump had already stated that the attacks against Iran will continue “uninterrupted throughout the week or for as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, IN FACT, THE WORLD!”
