President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Muhammad bin Zaid Al Nahyan in his speech on Friday, he declared that although his country is in wartime, remains in order and is not “easy prey” for enemies. TASR writes about it according to the Reuters and DPA agencies.
- UAE President Muhammad bin Zayed claims that the country is not easy prey.
“The UAE has a thick skin…we are not easy prey,” said the president in a speech on Friday, which was broadcast on Saturday by Abu Dhabi TV. “We will fulfill our duty to our country, our people and our residents who are also part of our family,” he declared, adding that the UAE will protect all people in the country. “I promise everyone that we will come out stronger than we were,” concluded the president.
The UAE, like other Gulf countries, has been the target of Iranian attacks since last Saturday, when the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran. DPA reports that, according to local authorities, the country’s air defense has so far intercepted around 200 rockets, 1100 drones and several guided missiles.
