Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 1-0 on Saturday night (7), in the 27th round of the Spanish Championship, thanks to a great goal from Lamine Yamal.
Halfway through the second half, the star hit a beautiful shot at the San Mamés Stadium, in Bilbao-ESP.
With the victory, Barça maintains a four-point advantage over second-place Real Madrid. The Blaugranas are conquered so far, while the team from the capital has 63 — and has already played in the round, beating Celta 2-1.
Bilbao is halfway through and dreams of a place in continental competitions. The Basque team is in ninth place, with 35 points — five less than Celta (6th) and eight behind Real Betis (5th).
Upcoming games
Barcelona returns to the field next Tuesday (10), at 5pm (Brasília time), to face Newcastle, in the round of 16 of the Champions League, in England. While Athletic will only play next Saturday (14), at 10am, against Girona, away from home, for Espanyol.
Lamine Yamal’s goal
The Blaugrana’s winning goal only came at the beginning of the second half, in a classic move by the Blaugrana. In a counterattack from the left, Pedri raised his head and reversed the play to Lamine Yamal, alone on the right.
Lamine dominated, invaded the area, cutting to the left, and hit the opposite corner of the goalkeeper, looking for the angle, with the right to touch the post.
