Manchester City beat Newcastle United 3-1 this Saturday, away from home, and advanced to the FA Cup quarter-finals for the eighth consecutive season.
Omar Marmoush scored two goals in the team led by Pep Guardiola.
Newcastle started better and opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Harvey Barnes received a deep ball and finished in the corner to put the home team ahead.
City equalized in the 39th minute. Jeremy Doku threw the ball behind the defense and the deflection ended up falling to Savinho, who scored the equalizer.
Marmoush turned the game around in the 47th minute. Matheus Nunes found the Egyptian striker free with a low pass into the area, and the player finished at the top of the ball.
Marmoush’s second came in the 65th minute. The attacker received a cross from Nunes and finished with a strong finish to close the match.
