Brazilian football met most of its state champions this weekend.
Palmeiras, Flamengo, Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Fortaleza, Bahia, Paysandu and Sport were the teams that lifted the cups in the regional tournaments.
Palmeiras becomes Paulista champion again

On Sunday night (8), Verdão went to Jorjão, in Novo Horizonte, beat Grêmio Novorizontino 2-1, in the second game of the final, and won the Campeonato Paulista after winning the first leg 1-0.
The initial half of the clash in the interior of São Paulo had everything to be hampered by the heavy pitch due to the heavy rains that hit Novo Horizonte, but the duel started off lively, with the visitors opening the score after just five minutes.
Andreas Pereira took a free kick from the right, Marlon Freitas, in a position questioned by Novorizontino, caught the leftover of Gustavo Gómez’s deflection and shot, hitting the left post. On the rebound, Murilo made a “lame” and found the home team’s net.
