The Secretary of Defense of the United States, Pete Hegseth, stated this Tuesday (10) that Iran is “desperate”, “alone and losing badly”, and said that this will be the most intense day of attacks in the American offensive against the country. According to him, the objectives of the operation are to destroy Iranian missiles, the defense industrial base and also the Iranian navy.
In the statements, Hegseth also said that Iran is firing missiles at schools and hospitals, in an attempt to dispel accusations that an American Tomahawk missile hit an Iranian school.
The statements reinforce the escalation of the US offensive in the midst of the conflict in the Middle East, contrary to statements made by Donald Trump the day before.
