Istanbul – Liverpool has to worry about reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League. England’s champions were defeated 1-0 by Galatasaray in the first leg of the round of 16 in Istanbul on Tuesday and are under pressure to win in the second leg next Wednesday (March 18). The goal for the Turkish champions and league leaders was scored by Mario Lemina (7th). Galatasaray had already beaten the “Reds” 1-0 at home in the league phase.
